Markus "Skyman" Gründhammer

Markus, born in 1964, has been part of the AUSTRIALPIN family since the beginning. He is better known under the name 'Skyman', even beyond the borders of his beloved Stubaital valley. His passion is bivying far away from any civilization, which he is able to do on average 2-3x per week.

My occupation: Paragliding testpilot, developer, photographer.
My vocation: Life, flying, the ‚madness’.
My favorite season & why: Winter, because it’s cold.

Where I feel the most at home: In my bivi in the snow.
What challenges me the most: Taking off with strong winds.
Favorite place(s): Stubaital valley
What motivates me? The ‚madness’
What a training week looks like: Bivi, every third night on the mountain, in summer and in winter.
Future plans: To the stars and back.
