gerhard, from the beautiful carinthian malta valley, is a climbing globe-trotter, survivalist and philosopher. during his travels he got to know a lot of curious climbing spots where he supported the locals with austrialpin bolts and helped them with route setting - true to the motto: "help to help yourself"

concerning climbing it is most important for him to experience new things, try out new routes and get to know people with different cultural backgrounds. in between his travels he is managing the rockstore located at the carinthian climbing gym the ROCK.
