benedikt is one of austria´s best iceclimbers. he would probably deny that but at the same time gives proof to that fact with the masterpieces he has accomplished lately together with albert leichtfried. there is "moonwalk" (wi6/m7), austria´s longest mixedroute and "encore" (m12/13), just to mention a few. according to benni the real accomplishment for him is to endure all his adventures without getting hurt.

during summers benni spends a lot of time on his downhill-bike. like picco he is part of the "vertriders".  benni is also a mountain and ski guide and if there is any time left in his curriculum he tries to push his studies of geology.
